The Living Classroom

a Hebrew class for Hebrew speakers

2017

For one academic hour we will play with the language's most fundamental elements: sound, words, meaning, history.

Through disassembling and reassembling linguistic and educational mechanisms, we will experience the space between speech and chaos, and shift between alienation from the language and renewed intimacy with it. whilst doing so, we will feel the undercurrents which tie together language, classroom and theater.

*The work premiered in Odessa-Tel Aviv festival, with the support of Bayit LaIvrit.

Creators and teachers: Ari Teperberg and Yael Gaulan
